Perhaps if anybody of you owns the Command&Conqer games or the first Witcher games try it, you could report here your experience. Unfortunately TF2 is 20GB to download so i cant do a quick testing on it and I dont own any of the affected games either. ive heard team fortress 2 thrown around even tho that game was not part of the "broken games due to driver" list. Personally ive played about 10 +-2 dx9 titles, not a single issue with them. So has anybody here actually encountered an issue with the titles that supposedly have issues or even other DX9 titles? I personally have a hard time judging this topic unless i know the scale of this problem and I have only seen people talk about it but not many, if anybody at all encountering this actual issue. One phrase ive read repeatedly as well is that "we dont know how many dx9 titles are affected, maybe a lot more". People saying "thats it, ill buy nvidia next" and crap like that. Im sure many of you have seen this topic pop up, lots of outrage about AMDs stance on this all over the internet. Thanks to Font Awesome for most of the icons used in the theme. Some AMD Radeon users who experienced their issues took it all to Reddit, Somebody from AMD responded on its official support forums that it is "unlikely to devote any valuable engineering resources to this issue.Be respectful to one another. Some of the games affected are, crashing at startup: The Steam version does not work for me. Another person does not start a GOG version, and he claims that all the previous drivers (17.11.4) are doing fine! The problem started after the release of the new driver. The Witcher: Enhanced Edition does not start with 17.12.1! The new Adrenalin drivers seem to cause issues with a handful of 10-year old games running on the older DirectX 9 API and a growing number of people are complaining about the fact that AMD hasn't done and isn't doing anything to address the issues. However the new drivers triggered issues with older DX9 games, it seems. Last month AMD moved their driver suite upwards towards the new Adrenalin drivers which offer some really nice new features and updates.
