Razor did not know who the man was, only that he was a human. One day, a tall man came to the mountains and disrupted Razor's peaceful life. Razor looks at his body and then at the bodies of his kin.īut there's nothing wrong with that, as far as Razor is concerned. Cool off in the lake when you're hot, and go find some juicy berries when you're thirsty. On a sunny day, you run around hunting or try and beat your prey to the ripe fruits, on a rainy day, you hide out in a hollow tree and fall asleep hugging a furry lupine friend, with some grass and leaves for a pillow.Įat as much as you can and drink plenty of water. The clouds are long and fluffy, like a wolf's tail. Tiny singing things are flying in the sky. Razor still does not know if he is a human or a wolf. The wolf pack howls in the distance, summoning him home. Razor may not understand the complexity of human relationships, but he has an honest, primal loyalty to him. When Razor played with her, it was like being a wolf pup again. They stood in the wind together, got soaked in the rain together - she even rolled around in Wolfhook bushes with him. Until one day, Razor met a bright-red, 'burny' girl. Razor thought about it when the wind blew, when the rain fell - even when Wolfhook berries got stuck in his fur. However, Lisa simply smiled and yawned without answering him. His purple-clothed mentor seemed to know it all, from how to make hash browns from potatoes in the ground, to the name of the brightest star in the summer night sky. Razor once asked of his new mentor, working at the limits of his vocabulary. After all, he never learned the name of that man before he left. Similarly, he did not understand why the names of things were all that important in the first place. Razor imitated the sounds the man made, without understanding what they meant. Unwieldy though this steel claw may be, thought Razor, it was at least sharp enough to cut through tree branches. The man taught Razor how to swing a sword. The shadows cast by the trees of Wolvendom grew short, and then grew long again. Now this is where my theory gets blurry, I currently have no theories on how Razor even ended up in wolvendom, and how Lisa knew he was there. The simple Wolf Boy could not understand the intricacies of human language, but he knew from the look on the man's face when he produced this sound that the man was giving him a name. It's not clear how long she has tutored him, but I think it could have been for quite a long time. I personally think that this reason is Razor. While I don't know either ages or which years they went to Sumeru Academia, I think it's not far fetched to assume that at one point, they went to school there at the same time.Īnother part of Lisa's backstory is that she is confirmed to have dropped out of Sumeru academia for an unknown reason. We know that Cyno is also a student from Sumeru academia. remember how I mentioned Lisa tutoring Razor would be important? Well, I came to a couple of conclusions.įirst of all, it's confirmed in Lisa's backstory that she went to Sumeru academia, and was the brightest of her year. This makes me think they are somehow related.īut there's more. Now this could be a coincidence, and since this is an anime game I don't think they care about genetics (some characters having unnatural eye and haircolors), but red eyes are still considered rare in the human world. Red eyes, grey hair and a similar looking face (heck, they're even in a similar pose). I want to talk about one of the characters that shows up in the clip: Cyno.Ĭyno (as you might have noticed if you watched the video) looks quite a bit like Razor. The video quickly summarizes each regions' story quest. Now, there is a video on the official Genshin Impact youtube channel, which is called: "Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview: Travail". We don't actually know much about him, aside from the fact that he grew up in wolvendom, and Lisa was the person that taught him to communicate, and to start getting more comfortable around humans again (This will actually be important later). While this is one of the smaller theories compared to most ones in and around genshin, I still believe this is definitely worth mentioning, since I discovered quite a lot here. So, I have spent a lot of my time playing genshin impact recently.
